The Power of the Spoken Word

the power of the spoken Word

I must make it known that everything happens in the spirit realm before it manifest in the physical. As the scripture emphatically says in:

Matthew 13:25►
But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

Sometime ago I had a dream and I can remember vividly the audible voice of the Lord saying, “THE POWER OF THE SPOKEN WORD.” In this dream a friend of mine came under demonic attack. She felt something happening to her breast and when she woke up her breast started to hurt and in no time it was swollen. The pain was excruciating and it looked as if it was poisoned. In this dream she held her breast and was not speaking, instead she was thinking in her mind and looking pitifully on her breast. The Lord was now showing me that she needs to speak over the breast and not be silent. Base on my understanding of the spirit realm; whenever one receive an evil dream it must be counteracted and dealt with immediately. Such dream must be presented to the Lord Jesus Christ and must be cursed and reversed in Jesus name.

I must emphasize that silence gives consent.

Upon hearing the voice of the Lord saying, “THE POWER OF THE SPOKEN WORD” she now opened her mouth and the anointing of the Lord fell upon her. What was happening is; she was counteracting Satan’s verdict against her health and life, however in the dream Satan tried to shut her down using the spirit of fear. Satan is cognizant of the fact that if she uses the authority of Jesus Christ and speaks the Word of God she would be healed and delivered and whatever it is that was planted would be uprooted. Satan tried to keep her silent because he wants to operate freely without the interference of Jesus Christ. I cannot emphasize more that the words we speak are life.

It is so awesome that the very world we are living in was spoken into existence. God used the power of the spoken word and he spoke into existence the very things we are enjoying today. He called the physical world to come out of the spiritual world, God effortlessly said; Let there be and today we can see that it was done. I must also mention that the Lord spoke to the boisterous sea and the water became calm and the waves bowed at the power of the spoken word.

Elijah the prophet said to Ahab, “As the Lord, the God of Israel lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word.” and without a doubt it was so, until the prophet spoke and the heaven agreed and opened up and the rain came.

Another well-known story is when Lazarus was dead and Jesus went to the tomb in which he was laid to rest. Jesus opened his mouth and spoke with a loud voice; Lazarus, come forth and Lazarus that was dead came forth with bound hands and feet with grave clothes and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus said unto them, loose him, and let him go.

As Christians we must use the power of the spoken word and watch it manifest physically in our lives. A centurion came to Jesus Christ knowing that he would be helped. He expressed that his servant was lying at home paralyzed and suffering terribly. The centurion asked Jesus to just speak the word, and he believed that his servant will be healed. Then Jesus told the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would,” and his servant was healed at that moment. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.

Jesus commanded the unfruitful fig tree to be dried up by the power of the spoken word and indeed it was so. Another excellent example of the power of the spoken word is when the servant of the Lord Joshua commanded the sun to stand still upon Gibeon and the moon in the valley of Ajalon and the sun obeyed and stood still, and the moon obeyed and stayed. It must be exaggerated that when Joshua commanded these things, not only the sun and the moon stood still but the entire universe accommodated his words and obeyed. The truth is the universe takes what we say as a command and it starts the process of manifestation when we speak.

How great is our God through the power of the spoken word. What do you believe today? What are you saying?

Hosea 4:6►
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Most people are not aware of the power of the spoken word and whenever they open their mouth, it’s always a curse and not a blessing and the Word of God clearly states in:

Matthew 12:37►
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

What are you commanding the universe to do today? Are you pronouncing a curse or a blessing? We must confess whatsoever things we want. We must speak them into existence.

Never say, “I want to be successful” say, “I am successful.” If your mind can conceive it and your heart can believe it then you can achieve it. Oftentimes I hear persons saying, “It is what it is,” by saying these words, whatsoever thing you are going through you have already accepted defeat. You are telling the universe that whatever Satan has placed in the spirit realm, let it manifest physically in my life. It means you accepting Satan’s verdicts against your life. Faith requires us to speak the word before we feel or see results. The words we speak create a blessing or a curse.

Hebrews 11:1►
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Proverbs 18:21►
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”

We must invoke our desire and speak it out in the spirit realm. Once someone told me that we don’t necessarily have to pray out aloud, I do agree that not at all the time we should. However, the Lord explained to me that when the enemy declares judgement we must decree and declare war. This is when we pray the scripture knowing that there is power in the Word of the Lord and he honors his Word above his name. We must activate

Psalm 91:7►
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

Verbalize your words in the spirit realm and watch it manifest. During spiritual warfare you must rage war against the enemy; this is where we ask for the warring Angels to destroy our afflicters. The warring angels of the Lord are made for war, they are made to destroy and be defenders of the saints. They don’t carry one pop guns they carry atomic bombs!

Michael the archangel is the MILITARY LEADER AND COMMANDER OF THE HOST and is ready to react to our spoken words.

Lucifer was the one that fell and when he fell he left all the warrior angels in heaven. The host which are designed for war does not back down, they are well trained, fully equipped, fully armed and they are experts in war. They are powerful, organized and ferocious, they work in harmony and they know all the strategies and tactics of Satan. They will come as fire to destroy; some as electricity and others as weapons. We must summon the angels to come and rage war against the enemy; we must command them as they are just waiting for us to verbalize the word because demons are afraid of them. As Christians we must use and verbalize our authority.

We must call upon YEHWEH SABAOTH the Lord of Host. We must call on the host because they love to war and is always ready to take down Satan’s kingdom at the command of a child of God.

I challenge someone today to use the power of the spoken word in Jesus name!

Authority is greater than power and Satan has some power but Jesus gave us power and authority.

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Matthew 16:19
And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

  1. Every word you’ve said is true my sis…… I’ve had some dreams that I too have taken for nothing and today I am experiencing the same things that happened in the dreams. Thanks very much for your words I really needed these lessons. May God bless and keep you to carry on with his work.
