The Eyes

Matthew 6:22-24 (NIV)- The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

It is true that you can tell when an individual is troubled with an evil spirit if you have the spirit of discernment. The eyes of an individual tell a story. The eyes communicate emotions and it can tell when an individual is sad, happy, hurt or even angry. Demons can enter individuals through their eyes based on the things that they watch. One mustn’t entertain ungodly things because it will pollute the soul.

There are somethings that can destroy the soul as fast as fire consumes paper:

1. Pornography videos/ Magazines

2. Video games with a high level of sexual content.

3. Videos of people fighting with monsters, killing individuals or using magic to fight. This is classified as witchcraft. The devil might use any foolish thing to destroy an individual’s soul.

4. Indulging in horror movies and movies that are filled with witchcraft practices.

The spiritual implications of watching these things can be detrimental to the soul if it’s not dealt with. To indulge in such activities will cause one to develop unhealthy desires that will push them to lust and to lose control. It’s of vital importance that we know that demons cause people to commit shameful acts.

The scripture says in James 1:14-15 (NIV)- but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

As the scripture says, it gives birth to death. This death is spiritual death.

When an individual saturates themselves with contents from the kingdom of darkness it pushes them away from light and into darkness which leads to oppression or even possession in some cases.

Satan is the prince of the darkness and when one venture in his territory and open doors they are giving satan legal right to operate in their lives. Satan’s motto is to kill, steal and to destroy.

When an individual watches horror movies it will afflict the soul, it introduces the spirit of fear among other demons. This is why most parents would not allow their children to watch horror movies because it affects their sleep but it goes deeper in that it also scars the soul.

Philippians 4:8 (NIV)- Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things.

Whatsoever you feed your soul on is what you will become.

John 14:6 (NIV)- Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.

Matthew 6 :24 (NIV)- “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.

What will you choose? Remember the decision that you make will determine your destiny.
